Disclaimer

  • No, if you are using insurance, the cash pay rate does not apply. If you choose NOT to use your insurance, then the cash pay rate will aplly.

  • Most times we do not need to start medications after the first session. We can watch and wait, and follow symptoms closely. This wait period is a great time to start therapy, as some symptoms can reduced with behavioral modifications.

  • Some medications can take up to 4 weeks to take effect, while others may take less. During your session with your provider this can be discussed more in detail and personalized to your situation.

  • A thorough assess during your intake appointment, sometimes labs are needed to rule out or make sure there is no medical cause. We used scientific evidence, your health history, your input to help lead us to a decision.

  • At your session we will discuss common side effects, most are short lived. We will discuss what to look out for and what action you need to take. You can message us with non-urgent concerns, we will respond within 72hrs. For severe side effects or urgent concerns please go to your local ER.

  • That depends. This is case by case and can discussed with your provider. We will discuss with the science says, but will respect your wishes and your choice.

  • Yes, our sessions are confidential. All conversations between a provider and client are protected by law and cannot be shared without the client's permission, except in cases where there is a risk of harm to the individual or others OR if subpoena by the courts.

  • Collaborative care is the best care. The more information your providers know, the better informed they are to effectively care for you. Statistics show that having a mental health condition can affect your medical health, we need to make sure you are getting the best care. This may include labs or other testing such as an EKG. Some mental health medications require blood work for safety checking.

Collaborating with your Primary care provider is the best way to care for your whole-self.

  • We will discuss your history and current symptoms. Some of our questions may seem repetitive in a way, but it is part of the process. We will get to know each other and begin the journey to wellness, together.
